Mood: waiting for wind
4th March 2007
Windsurfing: Littlestone
Wind Direction: SSE-SE
Wind Stength: F5-6
Surf / Sea State: flat until tide dropped then n
Air Temperature: bearable
Sea Temperature: okay
Weather: drizzly, then pissed down, then just overcast, but WINDY all day !
Max Speed:
Distance Covered:

Early March and we had over 20 people on the water today which was really cool.
Spring high tide 11.30ish today so most normal options were pretty much no go with onshore winds, shoredump and not much space between the groynes.
Planned to do Camber as an onshore port tack option but Rich called it as Littlestone just around the point with cross-on starboard tack ... turned out to be a good call for sure.
Went out from around 11am, wind filled right in around 1pm with some heavier rain and loads opted to change down .... me being me, ie quite lazy in the re-rig dept, I stuck with the 5.6m & 3S97 all day. In fairness wind dropped back a bit and 5.6m wasn't too painful. Loads on 5.3m and I'd guess this was about right, tho a few on 4.5m rigs too.
Nice to catch up with loads of people i'd not seen for ages too .... perhaps summers coming as everyone is coming back out to play.
Got to chalk it as a really good session, scoring some really active backside rides ... f*ck it, it scores a five !!!
